Blank Project
Blank Project is an office interior located northeast of central Changsha, China, with a total area of 800 square meters. The white minimalist space serves as a workplace for an interior design studio and as a showroom for its construction company. A floor-to-ceiling automatic sliding door leads into the showroom, which is lit by small imported spotlights. The spacious main hall is left open for large meetings or gallery-style events. A long lit corridor connects the studio and the showroom, and displays material boards of different textures beside a bench of black carbonized timber.
Blank Project Office by Yang PENG was recognized as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Blank Project Office received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
