Yinchuan Sunac City
Yinchuan Sunac City is a sales center built on the bank of Gedi Lake in Yinchuan, China. The building follows a minimalist approach, with a ring shaped volume and curved lines that follow the shoreline. The half-moon shaped roof tilts toward the lake and connects to a bridge. Slender perforated columns support the two wings of the roof. Built-in light strips glow in the evening. Perforated panels carry holes shaped after the Malan flower, the city flower of Yinchuan. A transparent glass curtain wall faces the lake. The project area is 450 square meters.
Yinchuan Sunac City Sales Center by Arch-Age-Design (AAD) has been highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yinchuan Sunac City Sales Center received the Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2021. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
