Icy
Icy is a cocktail glass designed for chilled drinks and layered cocktails. Each piece is mouth blown in a studio in Finland and shaped in a wooden mold. An ancient Venetian technique creates the crackled icy surface, while the form follows modern Scandinavian simplicity. The rim is finished with a flame for a smooth edge. The glass measures 80 mm in diameter and 100 mm in height, which gives a sturdy feel in the hand. Every glass is signed and numbered. The aim is to create durable everyday objects that last for decades.
Icy Cocktail Glass by Sini Majuri has been selected as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Icy Cocktail Glass was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design in 2021. The A' Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which celebrates exceptional design of pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses, baking dishes, graters and more.
