Katipo
Katipo is a foldable gas stove designed for camping and hiking. The stove folds to a width of 50 mm and a length of 120 mm, so it fits in the palm of the hand and takes little storage space. When opened, each leg rotates 120 degrees and is halted by a stopper pin, forming a symmetrical support with an open range of 180 mm that can hold a cooking pot. The stove is screwed onto a gas canister for use. Stainless steel and a heat resistant ceramic based paint are used. The form, proportions and color follow the Katipo spider.
Katipo Foldable Gas Stove by Elad Achi was highlighted as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Katipo Foldable Gas Stove was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Outdoor Gear and Camping Equipment Design in 2021. The A' Camping Gear and Outdoor Equipment Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that rewards exceptional design of tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, camping stoves, lanterns, Multi-Tools, hiking boots, water filters and more.
