Inheritance
Inheritance is a residential interior design located in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The layout places the living room, dining room and kitchen on one axis, so the open public area supports family interaction. A cross element on the television wall reflects the beliefs of the owner and is formed from champagne metal plate with a refractive texture. Long metal plates set into the living room ceiling refract light to suggest water ripples. Milk tea colours and simple line boards unify the rooms. The three bedrooms avoid right angles and include ample storage and large windows.
Inheritance Residential by Mark Han has been identified as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Inheritance Residential won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
