Projection
Warmth of Projection is an electronic thermometer designed to reduce anxiety during temperature measurement. The device uses the principle of convex lens imaging to magnify the temperature shown by an LED and project the number onto the arm of the person being measured. The projection shifts attention from the display to the arm, so the current temperature is seen quickly and calmly. The rounded form gives a gentle appearance. The shell is made by plastic injection molding with common parts to keep costs low. The thermometer weighs 62.4 grams.
Projection Electronic Thermometer by Yan Yue has been featured as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards.
