Bookish Atmosphere
Bookish Atmosphere is a sales center interior located in Jiangsu, China, and completed in 2019. The project covers 1269 square meters. The exterior draws on the features of ancient buildings in Jinling and joins them with modern aesthetics and practical function. Brick surfaces are treated as the spirit of the space, and the gaps between the bricks create a quiet sense of order. Water-like ornaments and landscape elements recall the rivers of Nanjing. Borrowed scenery guides the traffic flow, so visitors move through the interior as through a contemporary garden.
Bookish Atmosphere Sales Center by Li Zhang was selected as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Bookish Atmosphere Sales Center received the Silver A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
