Oriedental
Oriedental is a square silk scarf with a digitally printed pattern. The scarf measures 70 by 70 centimetres. The pattern combines Asian and Czech cultural references in a single composition. The concept comes from the personal background of the designer, who is originally from Japan and studied textile design in Prague. The scarf was created within the Studio of Textile Design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Digital printing on silk is used to produce the pattern.
Oriedental Scarf by Kina Usami was identified as an exceptional illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Oriedental Scarf was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Textile, Fabric, Textures, Patterns and Cloth Design in 2020. The A' Textile, Fabric, Textures, Patterns and Cloth Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program that honors exceptional design of structural fabric, engineered cloth, smart textiles, technical textiles, woven fabric, jacquard fabric, tapestries and more.
