Banboo Windows
Banboo Windows is a sales office interior in Xiamen, China. The 1200 square metre space draws on Yuanye, the first Chinese monograph explaining the principles of garden building. Bamboo is used as the main landscape reference, and wooden grids let light and shadow interweave, recalling sunlight passing through a bamboo forest. Marble in the reception hall is balanced by the warmth of wood. The plan includes a reception area, a display area, a conversation area, a semi-open reading area, a children's area and a private room.
Banboo Windows Sales Office by Kris Lin has been featured as a creative illustration of service design by the A' Design Award. Banboo Windows Sales Office won the Bronze A' Design Award in Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design in 2020. The A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which honors excellent design of hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafes, bars, cruise ships, theme parks, travel experiences and more.
