Electric Race Bike is a light electric bicycle developed for road racing use. The frame is made from a combination of kevlar and carbon, which makes the structure strong and very light. The total weight is 9.5 kilograms. A central motor supplies force and torque to assist the rider. The battery has a patented construction and is hidden inside the frame. High end components common in professional cycling are used. The geometry follows that of a road racing bicycle, and the form was refined in a wind tunnel to improve aerodynamics.
Electric Racing Bike by Brian Kenneth Høhl has been featured as an outstanding example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Electric Racing Bike earned the Silver A' Design Award in Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design in 2020. The A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that celebrates outstanding design of cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, buses, trains, ships, aircrafts and more.
