The Secret Garden
The Secret Garden is a residential landscape design for a housing development in Foshan. The garden covers 42300 square meters and combines classical and modern features. Flowers, grass, mounds and stones are arranged in a controlled pattern, and sculptures are placed along the route. Water features run through the whole site, from a spring path at the entrance to a waterfall in the rear garden. The layout keeps the walking route clear, so residents can move through the garden without losing direction. The design offers city residents a calm place close to nature.
The Secret Garden Residential Landscape by Weiling Huang was featured as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. The Secret Garden Residential Landscape earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Landscape Planning and Garden Design in 2020. The A' Landscape Planning and Garden Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which celebrates superior design of landscape designs, public parks, residential gardens, urban plazas, campus designs, green roofs, waterfront developments, Eco-Parks, botanical gardens and more.
