Sapphire
Sapphire is a residential interior design for a home in Taipei, Taiwan. The floor area is about 83 square meters and includes an entrance, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The original three-bedroom layout was changed into a two-bedroom plan to enlarge the shared areas and improve the social function of the home. Blue tones and fair-faced concrete are combined with oak, teak, wood veneer, tiles and metal. Clean lines, smooth circulation, hidden storage and customized furniture create a calm and spacious atmosphere.
Sapphire Residence by Shih-Ming Liu has been recognized as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Sapphire Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
