Rebirth
Rebirth is a residential interior design for an apartment in Taipei, Taiwan. The home covers about 82.64 square meters and contains a master bedroom, two further bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and two bathrooms. The original cabinets were kept and refinished instead of being removed. Discarded hardwood was reused to build the dining table, the coffee table and a lattice in the dining room. Pandomo, plaster, hardwood flooring, hardwood veneer and steel spray paint give the rooms a retro industrial character. The result is a minimal and warm home.
Rebirth Residence by Chien-Hui Pai, Chun-Hung Yang has been identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Rebirth Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
